Herne Bay Harriers Under 15’s poor first half performance was instrumental in their 2 -1 defeat to Monkton Youth FC in the Parker Steel Division 3 match.

 

The Harriers struggled to get into the game and the pressure paid off when Monkton took the lead. This was short lived when Jack Bishop’s scored a superb goal from outside of the box, which was one of the few Harriers highlights in the first half.

 

Monkton went back into the lead with a goal scores from a tight angle. The Harriers were unfortunate not to go in at half time level, when Robert Tait header from a corner just went over the bar.

 

In the second half the Harriers dominated, with chance from Matt Weeks, Ben Sargeant and Grant Allard, however this allowed Monkton to counter attack, but Jonathan Culver in the Harriers goal was equal to their efforts.
