Herne Bay Harriers 3 Tankerton Colts 4

Harriers entertained their former reserve side and clearly were not as focused as the visitors from Tankerton.

Indeed, with a gale blowing the length of the pitch Harriers found themselves four goals behind. A fine effort from B. Tamplin reduced the arrears before the break.

After the restart Harriers created a number of chances and Tamplin added to his earlier goal and skipper T. Inglis netted again for the home side but Tankerton defended their lead in numbers and chances went begging as Harriers failed to make their opportunities count.

The visitors were each rewarded with a bag of sweets for their efforts whilst Harriers saw their hopes of winning the League diminish.
