Deal Town Rangers Colts 3 Herne Bay Harriers 3

The Harriers started this game knowing that they had never beaten Deal Town in the three seasons that they had meet each other.

But the players were still on a high from the 7 - 1 victory last Sunday, this showed to be the case with a great start to the game and all the players linking up well to create some very good looking football.

Harriers then won there first corner and after an in swinging corner from S. Lee, M. Grove lost his marker to volley home the first of the match.

The team continued to pressurise there opponents and again with some impressive football from the midfield due of J. Inglis and K. Laughton they managed to slot a through ball onto S. Lee who then went onto to make it 0 - 2.

However Deal Town then stepped up their game and were rewarded their efforts with a goal that was identical to the Harriers first.

The match continued in the same manner with both teams creating chances for each other.

But from a kick out by the Deal goalkeeper it some how found the head of a Deal player who knocked it goal bound and unfortunately found it's way past J. King in the goal.

Deal Town then took the lead from a very well struck free kick that no goal keeper could save.

Harriers could have found them self's conceding another but after a last ditch diving tackle from J. Mount kept the game alive.

Second half started with the team knowing they had to go for it and they did, with once again playing some excellent football.

After a great managerial substitution on came A. Davison to tighten up at the back and new lad G. Grosvenor up front who made an immediate impact livening the other players with some good individual play.

G. Grosvenor then went on a solo run beating their midfield and then taking on the defence to slide a neat little pass through to S. Lee who smashed home the equaliser.

The game finished with a draw but more importantly the Harriers played some very impressive passing football and every player worked for his team mates.

An entertaining match for the spectators but a very nervous one for the managers.

WELL DONE LADS keep it up.
