After a long break off the players where all hyped up
and ready to go for the first game of the season. This
showed with a very positive start to the match by attacking and creating a few
chances in the first 20 minutes but unfortunately for the remainder of the
half were put under pressure, not helping with an injury to captain S. Lee
after a very brave tackle saw the defender limp off just before half time.
This could of seen a collapse in defence but replacement
B. Austin slotted straight into the position like a glove and held more than
his own, but just before the whistle went Thanet Colts scored from a good shot
which goal keeper J. King saved but could not stop the rebound from going in.
The pressure continued in the second half with an
outstanding attitude and solid defending by all.
Thanet Colts then scored a very good second goal, while
the lads tried to stay focused could not stop a third from going in.
A great TEAM attitude was made
by all the players.
