Herne Bay Harriers Under 11's went down 3 - 1 in a well contested and sporting game at Kennington.

Both sides started well with Harriers having the slight edge but good defending by both teams kept the scores level until Kennington broke the deadlock with a curling shot.

Harriers forced several corners but were unable to draw level and it was Kennington who scored again to make it 2 - 0 at the break.

Harriers were still in the game but Kennington made it 3 - 0 soon after the break.

Harriers however, showed character and commitment and fought back.

C. Hammond picked up a through ball from T. Ireton to finish with a fine run and cool finish.

Harriers continued to fight their way back into the game with K. Bleau causing them problems down the wing but Kennington held firm to gain the points.

S. Rose and B. Waite both had strong games for Harriers with Waite getting Harriers Man Of The Match for this week.

The two teams meet again this week at Briary and Harriers will be looking forward to it.
