Herne Bay Harriers Colts 1 Canterbury Youth Colts 9

A much improved Harriers team during training turned up full of enthusiasm on Sunday only to be out fought once again by a less than impressive Canterbury Youth side who carved out nine goals over the 60 mins.

The visitors went ahead after 15 mins due to some sloppy defending, despite some fine blocks from J. Wyborn and C. Dadswell in goal.

5-0 down at the break and some very tired legs and knocks, a drink and a re-grouping was welcomed.

The re-start saw a different Harriers team responding well and won a free kick just outside their area.

This was well converted by J. Wyborn into the roof of the net.

The boys were told that the score line was catchable but this was not to be.

Once again heads dropped and with continuous knocks the visitors ran all over the defence and went away 9-1 winners.

Particular mentions go to H. Parker, C. Saward and once again our keeper C. Dadswell for fine commited performances.

Man-of-the-Match : J. Wyborn.
