Herne Bay Harriers Under 11s played Hugin Vikings Res in the cup on Sunday and ran out worthy winners to progress into the next round .

Harriers started strongly and were soon into their stride with the team keeping its shape and the defence marking their forwards to stop them playing.

Harriers took an early lead and then dominated the half to lead 5 - 0 at the break.

The highlights were a 25 yarder from S. Harding and a 10 minute hatrick from in form forward, C. Hammond.

The second half saw further goals from Harding and K. Bleau and an equally impressive strike from K. Ayles.

Ayles shared the match ball with Hammond who both netted three a piece.

Vikings played to the end and scored two late consolations but its Harriers who now face Ramsgate Youth in the last 16.

The whole team played well this week, with B. Waite marshalling his defence but  with his best performance of the season the Harriers Man Of The Match went to Harriers left back,  D.  " Muzzy"  Musgrove who played a strong and committed game.  Well Done.
