Friendly! This didn't even enter Herne Bay Harriers Colts Under 9's minds once during an outstanding team performance against division one opposition.

Canterbury Eagle Colts were never allowed to get into any pattern of play, being closed down early and at every opportunity to win back possession, the Harriers tormented the opposition right to the end of the game with total possession and limiting the Eagles to absolutely  no chances on their goal, keeping a clean sheet.

The first half got underway with 3 goals in fifteen minutes from the fox in the box C. Sargeant, all set up by midfield maestro J. Mercer and wing wizards A. Taylor and J. Burrows.

These three midfield players were outstanding, totally dominating their zones of play, however after this period of time, it was becoming a free for all and Herne Bay Harriers were starting to forget their game plan, so they were reminded at half time by the management team.

The second half got underway and the Harriers fired into top gear, their hard work was soon rewarded with J. Mercer smoking home 3 goals in succession, one that came from an almost impossible angle making the score 6-0 to the Harriers, but with the game not over C. Sargeant and
J. Mercer got another 2 goals each on a day that Herne Bay Harriers Under 9 Colts were unbeatable.
