Herne Bay Harriers Under 9 Colts continued their rich vain of form winning away at Faversham Strike Force 1-3.
J. Mercer got Herne Bay Harriers off to a good early start with a chested goal from a J. Burrows corner.
Harriers continued to impress and put Faversham Strike Force under immense pressure with chance after chance being wasted.
Then the demolition man K. Connolly stepped forward just inside the opposition half and unleashed a bullet shot which left the goal keeper stranded making the score 0-2 at halftime.
The second half got underway and Faversham Strike Force started to put some pressure on the Harriers defence for the first time in the game, with a number of speculative shots and forward passes, however the cat D. Howlett in goal for the Harriers read every dangerous situation until out of the blue a strike force midfielder shot from the edge of the box and saw the ball sail into the top left hand corner of the harriers net to narrow the scoreline to 1-2.
Harriers stepped up another gear and were rewarded a penalty when a Strike Force player handled the ball in the area to prevent a certain goal.
C. Sargeant dispatched the penalty
with ease straight into the top left hand corner to make the score line 1-3 at
the final whistle.
