Herne Bay Harriers FC Under 17’s travelled to Monkton and produced yet another superb performance as they resoundingly defeated Monkton 8 – 1 in their Parker Steel Division 1 clash.

The Harriers playing against a formidable wind in the first half conceded a goal from a corner, but Monkton’s lead was shorted lived as the Harriers struck back with a well worked goal from Man of the Match B. Sargeant to bring the scores level.

The Harriers should have taken the lead when chances fell to L. Senft, C. Monticolombi and R. Tait, but at half time the scores were even.

In the second half, with the wind, the Harriers were outstanding and dominated the whole half resulting in a second goal from B. Sargeant, two from D. Marsden, a goal each for J. Bishop, S. Turner and a debut goal for I. Searle, with the final score being an own goal by Monkton.
