Alfred Albert Moore Memorial Senior Cup
Final

Herne Bay Harriers 1 Tyler Hill Youth 6

Herne Bay Harriers Under 17’s success in the Albert Alfred Moore Memorial Cup came to end on Thursday 24 April 08 at the Belmont Ground in Whitstable when they lost the Cup Final 6 – 1 too Tyler Hill FC.

The Harriers had the prefect start when they took an early lead, which was well deserved.

They broke down the left with the ball finally ending up with L. Senft who’s shot was too strong for the Tyler Hill keeper who could only push it into the back of the net.

The Harriers continued to play a passing game, but Tyler Hills direct approach put the Harriers defence under pressure and Tyler Hill drew level.

The Harriers were caught out again just minutes later as they went into the lead from a similar move, which is how the first half finished.

The Harriers had a disastrous start to the second half, allowing Tyler Hill to extend their lead within seconds of the whistle and this proved to be a body blow, resulting in the Harriers chasing the game.

There were moments in the half where the Harriers could have pegged a goal back and S. Turner was unlucky to see his shot hit the bar, with M. Kings' shots going just wide.

Eventually, fatigue in the Harriers ranks took over and this allowed Tyler Hill seal the victory.
