Herne Bay Harriers 4 Faversham Town Juniors 2

The Under 13s continued their good start to the season with a home victory at Briary which sends them top of the league.

Harriers took an early lead when Ryan Lee finished well from a Kieran Bleau cross.

Faversham had a few chances themselves but Ben Taylor in the Harriers attack got beyond his defender to calmly finish to the keepers left to give a 2-0 cushion.

A little bit of complacency then allowed Faversham to pull one back on the stroke of half time.

However, Harriers lead was further restored when Charlie Hammond's quick throw found Tom Ireton bursting through on the right and he made no mistake in finding the net.

The team then played some neat one touch football and the defence were solid with Calvin Saward and Chas Dadswell again playing well.

The in form Kieran Bleau then got Harriers 4th before a late penalty for Faversham ended the scoring.

A stunning second half save from keeper Allan Delow and his overall handling and command of his area made him the obvious choice of Harriers MOM.
