Herne Bay Harriers Under 13s went out of the cup on Sunday losing by the odd goal in seven against Thanet Colts.

Goals from Ryan Lee and Ben Taylor in the first half and a second half cracker by Charlie Hammond made for a pulsating final 10 minutes.

However, it wasn't quite enough to see Harriers progress to the next round and we wish Thanet well in the next round. 

Harriers played some good football with Kieran Bleau and Tom Ireton constantly running at the Thanet defence and the whole team played possibly their best football of the season so far.

But our priority this season is winning our division and it is back to League action next weekend against Herne Bay Youth.

Making his full debut after breaking his arm in the summer was Kieron Laughton, who played a calm and measured game on the left of Harriers midfield.

He thoroughly deserved the accolade of this weeks Harriers Man Of The Match.
