Our final game of the season was a local derby with Herne Bay Youth.

With the added pressure of being watched by Chairman Tait, Harriers took control of the game early on but squandered many chances in front of goal, hitting the post and some excellent saves by their keeper.

Eventually our commitment forward lead to a break by the opposition and they slotted the ball home to take the lead. Much the same continued for the next 10 minutes and yet again following a quick break they scored a second before going into half time.

Some small changes were made and with the advantage of the wind Harriers then piled on the pressure and pulled one back with an excellent goal from Nick Hope, minutes later Herne Bay youth increased the lead with another well taken 3^rd goal.

Harriers remained determined to get a result and after 25 minutes of the second half pulled one back with another great team goal slotted home by Nick Hope, the pressure was intense on the Herne Bay youth defence and they held their discipline well until a lose ball was slotted home two minutes from the end by Luke Walden.

This was an excellent game of football and a great way to finish the season for both sides. Although Harriers dominated the possession Herne Bay youth defended well and took their chances well. All credit to the spirit in which the game was played and a fair result for both sides.
