
Herne Bay Harriers 'A' 4 Faversham Strike Force 1
Within five minutes a quick throw from Ryan Kingsford allowed Billy Surbey to put Lewis Quinney clear through on goal, he coolly finished into the top corner. Strikeforce took advantage of the Harriers pushing forward to pull level.
The Harriers then took the lead through Lewis Quinney who stabbed home from close range after Strikeforce failed to deal with a corner. Jack Masters and Callum Wyles worked well together in the Harriers defence to thwart anything Strikeforce threw at them. With Morgan May and Cameron Hayward working hard in the Harriers midfield and passing the ball well, it created space for Ryan Kingsford to cross perfectly. However Lewis Quinney on the stretch could only put it wide.
Lewis Quinney then grabbed his hat-trick with a good finish from the edge of the box into the corner of the net. This put the Harriers 3 -1 up at half time.
Strikeforce started the second half well and Jamie Kemp in the Harriers goal made a great save to keep the advantage the same. Joe Evenden put in some excellent tackles in defence and was trying all afternoon to let of one of his cannon shots go.
As the match drew on the Harriers got tired but Morgan May just kept on running and crossed low for the Strikeforce keeper to save. Chances were plenty for both sides but Jamie Kemp was keeping them at bay. Ryan Kingsford then scored direct from a corner to put the Harriers in a very commanding position. The Harriers continued to fight and Billy Surbey never gave the Strikeforce defence anytime, with his high work rate.
The match finished 4 -1, a good hard working performance and good finishing had claimed the win.
