Herne Bay Harriers 'A' 1 Tyler Hill Youth 0
The Harriers tried as hard as they could to take control of the game but it was very scrappy.
Jamie Kemp in the Harriers goal was shouting orders and organising his defence keeping Tyler Hill at bay. Lewis Quinney laid the ball to Cameron Hayward who was able to dribble the ball into the corner and finally put the Harriers on the front foot.
Cameron Hayward made a good tackle in the middle and Ryan Kingsford picked up the loose ball, he beat the last defender and shot. It was saved but he was able to tap in the rebound. Tyler Hill pushed forward but Joe Evenden made a great tackle to keep the score at one nil.
The Second half began with the Harriers attacking. Morgan May made a driving run but was unable to complete his final pass. Luke Davies-Martine made a good pass to Cameron Hayward who just couldn’t control the ball in time to shoot.
Ryan Kingsford’s through pass was just to long for Billy Surbey to connect with. Billy Surbey turned on the edge of the box to create space for a shot which went wide. Tyler Hill were always looking to counter attack but captain for the day Callum Wyles made tackle after tackle to stop them.
The match finished one nil, a very hard fought victory in tough conditions where the Harriers really showed there fighting spirit.
