
Herne Bay Harriers 'A' 7 Faversham Town Juniors 1
Harriers returned to action against Faversham Town and went looking for goals straight from the off. It took the Harriers a good ten minutes before they took control with some neat passing. Billy Surbey played a good ball to put Luke Davies-Martine clean through who then found the back of the net. Ryan Kingsford was then fouled on the edge of the box, referee gave a drop ball. Ryan got up won the drop ball passed to Billy Surbey who tapped in.
Morgan May then drove through from the right and just as it was looking as though it was going to be cleared, he shot under the keeper and into the net. Ryan Kingsford then hit a powerful shot from outside the box which was tipped over by the Faversham keeper. Joe Evenden then went on a run but was tackled deep in the Faversham half. Luke Davies-Martine then created space passed to Lewis Quinney who ended his drought by side stepping the defender and smashing it home.
A slip in the Harriers defence allowed Faversham to score just before half time, four one at half time.
The Harriers started the second half well pushing forward at every opportunity, with great passing they were creating chances. Callum Wyles was determined to get on the score sheet, he made a run from defence passed three defenders got tackled, got up and carried on. As he got to the penalty area Lewis Quinney took the ball a placed it with his left foot into the net. Ryan Kingsford then took advantage of the keeper being out of position to score by passing it into the net from outside the Faversham box. The Harriers were hungry for more Jack Masters moved up through midfield to cross low but it was cut out by the Faversham defence. Jamie Kemp came out of goal and set up Cameron Hayward by passing the ball through for him to finish neatly.
The game finished seven one, The Harriers played well passing the ball and creating good chances.
